He was predeceased by : his parents, Dan Garrott and Virginia Bingham Garrott. He is survived by : his wife Joyce Kelley Garrott; his children, Joseph Garrott (Ruth) of Madisonville, KY, William Garrott (Kayla) of Murray, KY, Ray Kelley (Amy) of Hopkinsville, KY, Debra Geiger (Will) of Hopkinsville, KY and Sarah Gamble (Matt); and his brother Lee Garrott (Susan) of Ten Mile, TN. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Byrn Funeral Home (1020 Paris Rd, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
