He was predeceased by : his sister Margaret; and his parents, Robert Hunter and Margaret Hunter. He is survived by : his wife Lucille Hunter (Griffin); his children, Kerry A. Joyce (Patrick) of Braintree, Robert E. Hunter (Kayoua) of Newnan, GA and Kevin T. Hunter of Boston; his grandchildren, Kevin Joyce, Thomas Joyce, Millicent Moultrie, Jonathan Ho and Brendan Ho; his great grandchildren, Liam and Adelyn Moultrie; and his siblings, Carol, Janet, Patty and Bill.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DeVito Funeral Home - Arlington (1145 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA 02476). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 9:00 AM at the DeVito Funeral Home (1145 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA 02476). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Camillus Church (1175 Concord Turnpike, Arlington, MA 02476). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 11:15 AM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (70 Medford St, Arlington, MA 02474).
