It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Gordon Glenn Jr. of Brockton, Massachusetts, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on May 13, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Virgil Glenn and Willette Glenn; his sister Marilyn Peterson; his uncle Alexander; his aunt Ella Giles; and his grandson Santino Pasley.

He is survived by : his wife Essie Glenn; his children, Cheryl Tarver (Charles) of Charlotte, NC and V. Gordon Glenn III (Rachel) of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Christopher Pasley, Denver Glenn and Virginia Glenn; his great grandchildren, Alexandria Barth and Mya Pasley; and his nephew Cedric Glenn (Laquanna) of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by cousins, bonus daughters, sons, and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St John Missionary Baptist Church (230 Warren St, Boston, MA 02119). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
