He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. William A. Kotwas and Emily Kotwas (Pszczolkowski); his siblings, Gwendolyn M Nicosia and Kenneth J. Kotwas; and his sister-in-law Judy Kotwas (Aronek).
He is survived by : his wife Mary Jo Kotwas; his brother Dr. James Richard Kotwas; his siblings-in-law, Kay Kotwas and Vincent L. Nicosia; his nieces and nephews, Michael W. Kotwas (Judi Kotwas), William E. Kotwas (Frank Romano), Margaret A. (Peggy), Connelly (Andy Connelly) and Anne E Violette; his grandson Nicholas Violette; his daughter Kate Violette Mayer; his great grandchild Steven Violette; his cousin Dr. John Zdrojewski (Donna); his nieces, Kristin Kotwas, Dr. Ellen Kotwas-Song (Mark), Susan Kotwas-Symons (Phil), Jeri Tarini (Mark) and Gwen Porteous (Bryan); his daughter Aimee C. Lynch (Sean Lynch); his sister Marsha S. Rice (Randy); his grandchildren, Ethan, Ellie, Kate and Benji Lynch; and also Brian P. Conrad.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church (1420 Monte Sano Ave, Augusta, GA 30904). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at the Westover Memorial Park (2601 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, GA 30904).
