He was predeceased by : his parents, William Glieden and Helen Glieden (Swenson); his former life partner JoAnne Terpenning; his wife Emma Butler; his son Dean Glieden; his daughter-in-law Linda Glieden; his great grandchild Tay Kevin; and his siblings, Thomas Glieden and Monnie Ulrich.

He is survived by : his sons, Shane Glieden of Grant and Kevin Glieden (Laura) of Grand Rapids; his stepdaughters, Patricia Fox (Rick) and Theresa DuPont; and his siblings, Donald Glieden (Judi) of New Jersey and Donna Knopik. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren.
