She was predeceased by : her parents, Eleck Wilson Dawsey and Veronica Guila Harrelson Dawsey; her husband Roy Lee Britt; her son Roy Steven Britt; and her siblings, Doris Veda Capps, Hulon Elbert Dawsey, Albert Leon Dawsey, Talbert McNeil Dawsey, Eleck Wilson Dawsey Jr. (E. W.), Melvin Isaiah Dawsey and Hallie Clifton Dawsey.

She is survived by : her daughters, Karen Jean Britt and Angela Lee Britt "Angie"; her sisters, Margie Summersett of Whiteville, Mary Hammonds (Marcus) of Chadbourn and Carolyn Simmons (Ken) of Chadbourn; and her close friends, Ramon and Lisa Wix.
