He was predeceased by : his parents, Crowell Dale Dyson, Sr. and Hazel Cartrette Dyson; his daughters, Ruby Angeline Dyson and Patricia Ann Dyson; and his siblings, Crowell Dyson Jr., Dorothy Dyson, Leroy Dyson, Charles Dyson, Viola Sarvis, Mildred Floyd and Johnny Dyson.
He is survived by : his children, Virgil Dale Dyson of Lake Placid, FL, Richard Dale Dyson of Lake Placid, FL and Paula Jean Dyson McDaniel of Orangeburg, SC. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
