He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth; his children, Joe Weldon Edmund, III (Kelli) of Chadbourn, Bill Edmund (Terri) of Cerro Gordo and Laura Edmund Elkins (James) of Cerro Gordo; his grandchildren, Morgan Edmund Pierce (Brian), Andrew Edmund (Lauren), Jake Edmund (Rachel), Will Edmund (Kayla), Logan Britt (Alex) and Aaron Elkins; his great grandchildren, Olivia Pierce, Henry Pierce and Peyton Edmund; and his close friends, Ward and Mollie Shaw.
