He was predeceased by : his parents, Dorothy Wilson and Charles Edward; his siblings, Reginald Wilson, Joe, Jerome Wilson and Pauline Foster Latonya Wilson; and his grandson Abraham Wallace.

He is survived by : his nephews, Charles Wilson and Vontarius Doster; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Charles Wallace, Shuron Mcmiller and LaQuonia Brown; his siblings, Rose Brown, Gloria Wilson and Leroy Banner (Kathy Banner); and his grandchildren, Alexandria Mcmiller, Jaylen Cameron, Christian Mcmiller, Trinity Robinson, Jawonn McIlwain and Monquavious McIlwain. He is also survived by aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the A. E. Grier & Sons (2310 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
