He was predeceased by : his parents, Anton Rupar and Frances Rupar. He is survived by : his sons, Ken (Karin), Dave (Marguerite), Mark (Joan) and Mike (Irma). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. Patrick (1621 Dilworth Rd E, Charlotte, NC 28203).
