He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Garrison and Mildred Garrison. He is survived by : his significant other Donna; his children, Miles (Haley) and Brooke (Taylor); and his significant other's children, Ashley (Philly), Austin and Walker (Olivia). He is also survived by his six grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hope Community Church (4418 Rea Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or your local blood bank in honor of George's legacy of having donated over 14 gallons of blood in his lifetime.
