He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth Tisdale and Gertrude Tisdale; his son Mark Allen; and his brother Gene. He is survived by : his wife Vicki; his son Donald Kenneth'Ken'Jr. (Tabitha); his grandchildren, Caitlin Anne, Sophia Louise, Donald'Trey'Kenneth III, Naomi Maria and Lucien'Luke'Frederick; his brother Tom (Flo); his nephew John Kenneth (Judy Tisdale); and his brother-in-law Anson Matthews (Rick).

A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Funeral and Cremation Services - Downtown (120 S Main St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
