He was predeceased by : his parents, Patricia Curran Smith and James Luke Smith of Bogota, NJ.; and his siblings, Deborah DiSanto of Hewitt, NJ and James Gerard Smith (Steven Ferrini) of Key West, FL.. He is survived by : his husband Russell W. Chalmers; his close friend Russell W. Chalmers; his sisters, Patricia Costanzo of West Milford, NJ, Eileen Kossler (Scott) of Hewitt, NJ, Annie Cerci of Toms River, NJ and Mary Elizabeth Smith Napolitano (MaryBeth); his brother-in-law Jerry Disanto of Hewitt, NJ; his parents-in-law, Sharon and Wayne Chalmers of Palmetto, FL.; his sister-in-law Cynthia Bobkoskie of Palmetto, FL; and his nieces and nephews, Rania Ghrayeb, Tarkan Cerci, Alex Napolitano and Chelsea Napolitano. He is also survived by many great-nieces/nephews.
