He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Degnan and Catherine Botens Degnan; and his brother Dr. Mark Degnan. He is survived by : his children, John D. Degnan (Paul Gervais) of Boston and Kelly Degnan (Charles Stewart) of Middletown; his grandchildren, Brandon Kania, James Stewart and Angelica Stewart; his great grandchild William; his brother Daniel Degnan (Marianne) of Venice Florida; and his nieces and nephews, Rachel Gordon of Denver, CO, Peter Degnan of Milford, CT and Andrea Drey Sapp.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home (130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY 10940). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (149 Cottage St, Middletown, NY 10940). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
