He is survived by : his parents, Afrose Hosein and Luis Melendez Jr.; his children, Jessie Hosein, Casanova Hosein, Alexandre Hosein, Jr., Faith Hosein and Anastasia Hosein; his siblings, Fareed Hosein, Luis Melendez, Jr., Miguel Melendez, Juan Melendez, Felicia Melendez, Victoria Melendez, Olivia Melendez and Angelina Melendez; his granddaughter Jessie Hosein (Stephanie Newton); and his brother-in-law Angel Lopez. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Inc. (112 E 2nd St, Oswego, NY 13126). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
