He is survived by : his wife Emma Jean Ware Parrish; his daughters, Comalisa Sallie-Parrish, Cassandra Gail Gardner, Tina L. Pilgrim (David Pilgrim, Sr.), Toni K. Stanford and Erika D. Parrish; his grandchildren, LaSaundra Young (Darius Young), Rakeasha Gillispie, Terrence J. Stanford, Nemiah Pilgrim and Jaime Pilgrim; his mother-in-law Mary Ware; his siblings-in-law, Sonja, Edena Ware, Frank Ware and Jonathan Rance; and his pet Brooklyn. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Serenity Funeral Home (1638 Sycamore View Rd, Memphis, TN 38134). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
