She was predeceased by : her parents, William Love Beard Jr. and Martha Pearl; her husband James Edwin Whitesides; and her son-in-law Mike Golding. She is survived by : her siblings, Peggy Stinson, Billy Beard and Susan Snodgrass; and her daughters, Cynthia Byrd (Steve), Nancy Clark (Kerry) and Pam Golding. She is also survived by 12 grandkids.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Pollard Chapel at Bellevue Baptist Church (2000 Appling Rd, Cordova, TN 38016). Visitation was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chicota Cemetery.
