He was predeceased by : his parent Delma Holguin Chavez; and his grandparents, Raul G. Chavez, Luciano B. Holguin and Eliza P. Holguin. He is survived by : his father Jesus Alonzo Chavez, Sr. (Kelly); his wife Olga Chavez; his son Justin Ariel; his brother Jerome Andres Chavez; his grandmother Margarita Chavez; and also Delma Holguin Chavez (Luis). He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 6:00 PM and on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Resthaven Memorial Park - Midland (4616 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705).
