He was predeceased by : his father Keith Dempsey; and his brothers, Keith Dempsey Jr., Bobby Dempsey and David Dempsey. He is survived by : his mother Sharon Dempsey; his sister Lanann Dempsey; his children, Marcus Dempsey (Christy) and Kristin Dill (Ryan); his grandchildren, Avery Arthur, Brason Dill, Braxton Dill, Brody Dill, Averie Blair, Brecken Dill, Brooks Dill and Kennedy Dempsey; and his girlfriend Stacney Martin.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial (6025 82nd St, Lubbock, TX 79424). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park (15602 TX-493 Loop, Lubbock, TX 79423).
