It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Elena Bustillos Pérez (Lubbock, Texas), who passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Maria Elena Bustillos is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Colgate Church of Christ (2603 Colgate St, Lubbock, TX 79415).

She is ending her life with a last grand act of selflessness by donating her organs to save multiple people and improve the quality of life for many others.
