She was predeceased by : her husband Miguel R. Tijerina; her mother Maria Gonzales; and her daughters, Baby Elizabeth, Niria DeLeon and Elizabeth Maldonado.

She is survived by : her children, Estella Reyes, Gloria Guerrero, Elvia Hernandez, Enedelia Ramirez, Orlando Tijerina, Irosema Montemayor, Delia Tijerina and Miguel Jr. Tijerina. She is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 113 great-grandchildren, and 62 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (1603 Cherry Ave, Lubbock, TX 79403). A burial was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 9:00 PM at the Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. A rosary was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Guajardo Funeral Chapels (407 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415).
