She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Hitt and Loreen Hitt; her husband Howard Woodman Sewell; and her children, Jeff Sewell and Cindy Johnson.

She is survived by : her children, Kelly (Teresa), Valerie, Maureen and Woody (Tammy); her grandchildren, Robert Sewell, Christopher (Kyla), Michael Lollis (Ashley), Evan, Ian, Oran, Upton Sewell, Caitlen, Caleigh Marshall-Sewell and Bryce Hamrick (Summer); her great grandchildren, Silas, Braxton, Jake, Remi and Dawson; and her sister Martha Phillips.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial (6025 82nd St, Lubbock, TX 79424). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
