He is survived by : his children, Jimmy Cathey (Cathy) of Pollok, Sheila Seymore (Derek) of New Braunfels and Teresa Layton (Brian) of Pollok; his grandchildren, Heather, Tiffany, Jordan, Shelby, Jakob and Joshua; and his sister-in-law Mary Cathey. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Redtown Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
