She was predeceased by : her husband Charles Hopson; her mother Jimmie Thomson; her grandmother Norah Colwell; and her brother Michael Thomson. She is survived by : her children, Richard Hopson of Galveston, Charlcie Johnson of Lufkin and BeJa (Jeanievev Hopson) of Lufkin; and her brothers, Jimmy Thomson of Port Arthur and Johny Elton Thomson of Tomball. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gipson Funeral Home (1515 S Chestnut St, Lufkin, TX 75901). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
