He was predeceased by : his parents, David Coleman (Clara) and Clara Stover; his daughter Darlene Sturgeon; his siblings, Vernon, Richard, Herbert, Chleo, Randall, Leo, Sam, Glenn, Ethel, Roxie Brown, Dorothy Campbell and Opal Duncan; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Price and Leona Potts.

He is survived by : his wife Sadie Coleman of Ashton, WV; his daughter Kathy Tate of Salisbury, NC; his grandchildren, Trinity Dean (Jamie) of Ashton, WV, Zachary Sturgeon (Tonya) of Ashton, WV, Desiree Hetrick (Bobby) of Salisbury, NC and Patra Paxton (Colton) of Salisbury, NC; his great grandchildren, Keylee of Ashton, WV, Keyton Dean of Ashton, WV, Millie Sturgeon of Ashton, WV, Audrey Burris of Ashton, WV, Robby of Salisbury, NC, Rayleigh Hetrick of Salisbury, NC, Asher of Salisbury, NC and Payton Paxton of Salisbury, NC; his son-in-law Roger Sturgeon; and his siblings-in-law, Leonard Deal and Kay Houck. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
