It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Joan Barkeit in Bulli, New South Wales, who passed away on January 31, 2026, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Evelyn may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Arthur; her sons, Ian (Angela) and Tim (Nat); her grandchildren, Ethan and Charolotte; and her siblings, Hayden (Rosemary), Kath (Brian), Rosemary (John) and Caroline (Graham).
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens (Worrigee Rd, Worrigee NSW 2540, Australia).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made at the service to The Royal Blind Society.
