He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Carol; his children-in-law, Nathan, Laura, Ben, Shelly, Steph and David; his grandchildren, Harry Scanes, Ezekiel Scanes, Franklin Scanes, Dominic Scanes and Baby Scanes; his parents, Sandy and Anne; his sibling Ian; and also Janice. He was also cherished by step-brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

In Stuart's memory donations can be made to the Haematology Unit at the Calvary Mater Hospital.
