He is survived by: his parent Pauline McDermott Scanlan; his spouse Betty Jean Weindel; his children, Sandra Green (Steve), Dennis (Susie), Cindy Patton (Ronnie), Bill, Pam Glazer (Tom), Tamara Bourne (Andrew), Scott (Belinda), Brian and Doug (Lisa); and his brother Bob of Ankeny. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
