Glenn Calvert wrote a sympathy message

“I last saw you in the late 70s and only spoke a couple of times recently on the phone. I really wish we had of caught up because from your funeral tributes we had a lot in common still and would have had a good laugh. Back in the day I remember having a few under age beers under the Mitchell River Bridge and walking back up to your place in Wallace Street. four of us drove to the Gold Coast for a holiday when I first got my license. Then you joined the Navy and we mixed in different circles.”
