She is survived by: her parents, Jay Caplan and Sandra Schoeneman; her stepfather Morris Schoeneman; her sister Deborah Schoeneman; her brother-in-law Josh Groban; her nephew Max; her niece Ruby Groban; her aunts and uncles, Debbie, Gary Schoenemann, Sharon Caplan and Irv Caplan; her cousins, Steven Caplan (Faina Caplan), Michael Caplan (Janelle Caplan) and Richard Caplan (Kana Caplan); Molly Caplan, Taylor Caplan, Spencer Caplan, Jonah Caplan, Holden Caplan, Phoebe Caplan, Zoe Caplan, Ellis Caplan and Ruby Caplan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rachel's memory may be made to Larchmont Charter School's Rooted & Rising Campaign, where her niece, Ruby Groban, and nephew, Max Groban, attend school in Los Angeles.
