He was predeceased by : his father Desmer Benson, Sr.; his sister Linda Benson Christy; and his mother Claudell Bailey Benson. He is survived by : his brothers, Ronald Benson (Lillian) and Michael Benson; his niece Claire Lynn Christy; and his nephew Sterling A. Christy, III (Lethy). He is also survived by great niece and great nephews.
