Gentleman Jack". Never a harsh word: an honest, thoughtful, loving man. Passed away peacefully in the home he built being held by his daughters, son and daughter-in-law. Husband of Pat (dec), father of Terry (dec), Kim, father and father-in-law of Robin and Brian, Greg and Erris. Proud Pop to Kara and husband Tim, Phil and wife Andrea, Kate, and Blake. Great-grandad to Arlo, Eamon and Iggy. Brother of Sylvia (dec), Vera and Fay. A selfless life of service: WWII airman, master builder, firefighter, proud public servant, unionist and PSA Vice President, political activist, fighter for rights of the oppressed, women and First Australians. Volunteered in many organisations in Terrey Hills for 63 years: Life Member of the RFS and Progress Assn. Last of a generation that made Australia great. Reunited with our gorgeous Mum who arranged a lovely full moon to welcome Dad back. We adore you Dad - you've left a huge hole in our hearts but we were so lucky to have had you and Mum to shape our lives and values. Privately cremated. A public memorial service will be held at Terrey Hills Community Centre at 1pm on Thursday 15 March. By request no flowers - donation to your favourite charity.
