With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ian Robert George Wilson in Tamworth, New South Wales, who passed away on August 20, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Robin Thevenet-Wilson; his parents, Ian and Marion; and his brothers, Barry, Keith, Greg, Paul, Graham and Carl. He was also cherished by uncle to his nephews & nieces.

Due to the current Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will be held for Ian in the Edlen Chapel on Friday 10th September 2021, thence for private interment in Memorial Park Lawn Cemetery.

“Ian was a regular member of the TDMTA (Toowoomba and District Maths Teachers' Association) which met about 10 times per year. He also ran sessions at the Student One Day workshop held at the University of Southern Queensland. I am grateful for having known Ian and have many fond memories of Ian, especially when it comes to astronomy. Jupiter in the evening sky shines brightly, just as Ian did when he taught at Mt Lofty introducing new programs such as aerodynamics and astronomy activities.”
