He was predeceased by: his brother Lionel; and his parents, Ruby Gurney and Brice Gurney. He is survived by: his children, Kelly (Shane Bishop), Russel (Desley Gurney), Sarah (Stewart Cheffirs) and Adored; his grandchildren, Courtney, Madison, Bronwyn, Symone, Chase and Colt; his great grandchildren, Juliet, Hazel, Remi and Jedd; and his brother Reuben.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Moura Cemetery.
