He taught me so much about the environment, and heaps of practical stuff like collecting native seed, growing native plants, revegetation and river health etc. etc. Brendan was always such a positive, upbeat, presence in my life, and he made me want to be a better person. I feel very lucky that I got to know Brendan and spend time with him in the last few years of his life. He was a true friend and will be missed.”
