He was predeceased by: his sons, John, Daniel, Alexander and Miles; his granddaughter Alexis; his parents, Gladys MacKay (Chapple) and Andrew MacKay; and his brothers, Lawrence and Murray.
He is survived by: his children, Gina, Susan (Dustin), Stephanie (Peter), Scott, Matthew, Thomas (Rachelle), Bonnie and Bethany; the mother of his children Catherine Ransome; and his siblings, Ian (Linda), Barry (Jill), Alan (late Brenda), David (Kathleen) and Margaret (Lindsaye) of Nova Scotia. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Service (613 Ward St, Nelson, BC V1L1T2). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints (222 Richards St W, Nelson, BC V1L1T2).
