He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Holitzki and Mary Holitzki. He is survived by: his wife Vera Abetkoff; his children, Janice Melanson (Kevin) of Nelson, B. C., Jeff Holitzki of Grand Forks, B. C., Valerie Spence (Steve) of Calgary and Russell Holitzki (Deanna) of Nelson, B. C.; his grandchildren, Brendan Melanson (Lauren), Jordan Melanson (Natalija), Mitchell Melanson, Hannah Holitzki, Isaac Holitzki, Erin Spence, Christian Spence, Matthew Holitzki and Madeline Holitzki; and his great grandchildren, Eli, Adelaide, Oliver, Grace, Lucy and Heidi.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church (813 Ward St, Nelson, BC V1L4P3).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Joseph's School, Nelson, B.C.
