He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmanuel Mitchler and Katherine Mitchler; his wife Linda Buffi; his parents-in-law, Jacob and Emilie Buffi; his brothers, Edwin and Mervyn; and his brother-in-law Lloyd.

He is survived by: his children, Lawrence (Trena), Mark, Duane (Jen), Noewel and Holly (Matthew); his grandchildren, Devin (Kamrin), Bailey (Ryan), Emmalee (Zach), Matthew, Dustin (Eastyn), Chloe (Scott), Mylee, Kaytee and Caitlin; his siblings, Delmar, Kelvin (Laurie), Howard (Susan), Dale and Beverley; and his sisters-in-law, Shirl (Irv) and Laura.

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church.
