He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert A. Ouellette and Régina Ouellette (Page); and his siblings, Lise Nadeau, Françoise Francoeur and Jacques Ouellette.
He is survived by: his wife Velva Ouellette (Rossignol); his sister Mariette McCarthy (late Evan) of Grand Falls; his godchildren, Kim Nadeau (Dave St-Onge) of St-Jacques and Louise Gagnon; his in-laws, Valda Lavoie, Guildor, Bertin and Hermel Rossignol; Whitney, Harley and Jesse St-Onge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the O'Regan's Funeral Home (515 Everard H Daigle Boul, Grand-Sault, NB E3Z 2R5). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Saint-André Roman Catholic Church (484 Chem. de l'Église, Saint-André, NB E3Y0B2).
For those who wish, donations to the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated by the family. (Gerald suffered from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (C.O.P.D.) for the past 14 years.
