He was predeceased by: his parents, Mérilda (Roy) and Desjardins of Notre-Dame; and his sisters, Irma, Everyll and Armande.

He is survived by: his wife Ginette Parent; his children, Mélanie Desjardins-Bard (Paul) of Drummond, Denis Desjardins (Alexandra) of Southington and Connecticut; his grandchildren, Cédrik and Janelle; and his siblings, Carmella (late Robert), Alinette (late Camille), Ursule (late Harvey "Red"), Anne-Marie (late Mike), Marguerite, Madeleine (Arthur), Réal, Guilmund (late Louise), Antonio (Evelyne), Jean-Guy (Gloria), Gaëtan (Violette), Daniel (Raymonde) and Judes (Gina). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
