He was predeceased by: his parents, Romeo Violette and Victoire Violette (Theriault); his granddaughter Karyne LeBlanc (Simon); and his siblings, Simone Dubay (late Cecil), Pierre "Pit" and James (Paulette).

He is survived by: his children, Lise (Robert Bourgoin) of Grand Falls, Richard (Joanne) of Fredericton and Nicole (Luc Francoeur) of Dieppe; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Bourgoin, Stephanie Violette, Nadine Violette and Zoé Francoeur; his great grandchildren, Eva LeBlanc and Kaleb Bourgoin; his siblings, Jean-Marc (Mariette) of Saint-Leonard, Marcella Laforge (Fred) of Morrisburg, Joan Jackson (David) of Auburn and California; and his sister-in-law Paulette (late James) of Saint-Leonard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
