She was predeceased by: her parents, John Payne and Doris Payne; her husband Junior Teakles; her son-in-law Lloyd Meehan; her siblings, Judy McLaughlin and Frank Payne; her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Payne, Bernadine Teakles, Darlene Clement and Verna Desruisseau; and her parents-in-law, Hartley and Agnes Teakles.
She is survived by: her daughter Carmen Meehan; her grandchildren, Cory Kennedy (Mike), Shaun Meehan (Kate), Sarah Meehan (Jared) and Catherine Meehan (Tris); her great grandchildren, Rory, Kieran, Isla, Maeve, Norah and Will; her brothers, Jim Payne Valarie (Ethel) and Edward Payne; her siblings-in-law, Gloria Payne, Bob McLaughlin, Henri Clement and Roland Desruisseau; and her nieces and nephews, Randy, Kim, Heather, Jeff and Krystal.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sherwood's Funeral Home (18 Scovil Rd, Norton, NB E5T1Z2). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (129 NB-124, Norton, NB E5T2C2).
