She was predeceased by: her mother Lili (Diesselberg); and her stepfather Eric Wigger. She is survived by: her husband Dieter of Lower Millstream, NB; her children, Rudiger Helmsmueller (Kelly Trifts) of Saint John, NB, Renate Young of Moncton, NB, Margarete Helmsmueller (Gary Melanson) of Grande Digue, NB, Volker Helmsmueller of Lower Millstream and Lynda Hayes (Jerry) of Nelson, BC; her grandchildren, Robert (Phyliss), Lydia, Evan (Nikki), Helena (Gina) and Elyas (Natalie); her great grandchildren, Jasper and Stella; her sister Helga Bloemer (Ludger); and her nieces and nephews, Kristin and Matthis.
