It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Edith Button of Hants Harbour, Newfoundland, who passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Short and Marion Short; her sister Shirley; and her siblings-in-law, Alfred Button and Margaret Short.
She is survived by: her family Judy Button (Short) of Hant's Harbour; her significant other Boyd Hopkins; her children, Claude Button (Sharon), Kimberley Green (Michael) and Jason Button (Joanne); her grandchildren, Michael Green (Miranda), Jonathan Green (Kayla), Jessie Button, Emily Button and Nathan Button; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Amelia, Jayden, Noah and Jacob; and her siblings, Carman Short of Hant's Harbour and Daisy Burden (Robert) of Innisfil, Ontario.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Green's Funeral Home (272 Main Road, Winterton, NL A0B3M0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Salvation Army Lower Trinity Bay Corps.
