He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Herron and Sarah Herron; his wife Lynn; and his grandchildren, Marta, Jon, Chris (Vicki McFarlane), Josh, Ben, Collin (Nyree-Dawn), Mitchell, Shane, Derek (Heather), Brady and Brandon. He was also cherished by the grandchildren's partners and 6 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carleton Place Legion.
