George Freda Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Freda of Carleton Place, Ontario, who passed away on July 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Freda; his grandchildren, Bradley and Samantha; his parents, Nick Freda and Julia Trudeau; his siblings, Joan Layberry (late Everett Findlay) and Donald Freda; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Kirkpatrick (Cindy) and Robert Kirkpatrick of Ottawa.
He is survived by: his children, Karen (Rob Fletcher) of Ottawa, Kim (Tony Disipio) of Ottawa, Joanne (Glen Summers) of White Lake, Julie (Bryan Patacairk) of Almonte and David (Heather McRae) of Carp; his grandchildren, Ashley, Jade, Chelsey, Colton, Carter, Jillian, Douglas and George; his great grandchildren, Braedan, Katie, Melissa, DomInik, Lilliana, Tristan, June, Emmy and Eddie; his siblings, Toni McKennirey (late Mike) of Montreal, Lois Leahy (late Tacey) of Ottawa, Garry Freda (Helen) of Carleton Place, Marty Freda (Darlene) of Ottawa, Jerry Freda (Gloria) of Ottawa, Warren Freda (Paula) of Ottawa and Paula (Pete Stewart) of Seeley's Bay; and his siblings-in-law, Gail Steele (late Lanny) of Ottawa and Wendy (Rick Ashton) of Alberta Beach. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9).
