He was predeceased by: his parents, René Labonté and Fidélia Labonté; and his siblings, Yolande (Bert), Carmen, Jeannine, Guy and Pierre.

He is survived by: his wife Norma; his daughter Cheryl (Mark); his in-laws, Roger, Gary, Maureen, Helen, Joyce, Carl (Jackie), Sandy (Mike), Carolyn (Ron), Audrey (Jeff) and Dale (Shelley); and his grandchildren, Megan (Riley), Taylor (Noah) and Brandon (Regan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ottawa would be greatly appreciated.
