Mathew McGrath Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mathew McGrath (Carleton Place, Ontario), who passed away on May 16, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mathew McGrath to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Mathew farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mathew is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim McGrath and Susan McGrath of Carleton Place. He is survived by : his sister Melissa Rainville (Pete); his nephews, Chase and Kaelen; and his son Liam (Kristy). He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home (19 MacArthur Ave, Carleton Place, ON K7C2W1).

In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made to the Canadian Children's Literacy Foundation.
