He was predeceased by : his parents, Allan Smith and Jean Smith; his wife Doreen Smith (Ritchie); and his siblings-in-law, Don, Anne Ritchie, Lois McCloskey (Pete), Ken Ritchie (late Nicole), Marilyn Kenny (late Phil) and Dan Ritchie (Karen).

He is survived by : his children, Pamela Fralick (Joseph), Heather Juneau (Jason) and Derek Smith (Crystal); his adoptive daughter Jaime Wood; his grandchildren, Owen, Cora, Keegan, Mason, Jakob, Evelyn, Collyns and Abby; and his siblings, Harvey Smith, William Smith, Terry Harkes (Neil) and Lyle Smith (Julie). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
