He was predeceased by: his former wife Carol (McAllister); his wife Diane (Batte); his sisters, Patricia Jacklin (Stuart) and Mary Cotter; his brothers-in-law, Clifford James and Ken Knorr; and his parents, Harold Cotter and Velma Cotter (Russell).
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Kuhl (Greg) of Port Elgin, Michael (Kathy) of Hanover, Tim (Melissa) of St. Thomas, Steve (Heidi) of Riversdale, Christopher Baker (Stephanie Etchells) of Ottawa and Colin Baker (Shannon) of Elmira; his grandchildren, Jamie, Carly, Linda, Lily, Emma, Kylie, Oliver, Taylor, Anne and Jarett; and his siblings, Raymond (Margaret) of Chesley, Brian (Joanne) of Kitchener, Paul (Joyce) of Fergus, Teresa James of Southampton and Dorothy Knorr of Hanover. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rhody Family Funeral Home (65 4th St SW, Chesley, ON N0G 1L0). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church (58 2nd Ave SW, Chesley, ON N0G1L0).
